2 comfortable wins in the first away game of the U12 season

The MetroStars and Beavers team competed in the doubleheader in Traiskirchen with a very large roster. A luxury problem for our coaching team.
The first game was quite one-sided, and the Grasshoppers never really got going. Spectacular baserunning and stealing by our Nils after a walk were the highlights of the game, which ended in a clear 13-2 victory.

The second game was much more even in the first two innings. The BeaverStars were up 10-6 at the end of the second inning, but then, with Simon L. at the starting pitcher, the Hoppers got a cold shower. In the third inning, they went a perfect 3 up 3 down, without a hint of a hit.
In the last two remaining innings, a few errors and overconfident actions crept in, preventing a better run tally. Nevertheless, the lead on the scoreboard remained until the end. When the game was over, the Vienna kids had a clear 14-9 victory.
After this great away start, we are looking forward to the three-team tournament on May 4th at the Bratislava Apollos together with the Schwechat Blue Bats.
